Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre Limited (“LSCM”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the owner and operator of https://www.lscm.hk website (the “LSCM or our website”) and the LSCM Membership Programme and LSCM eNewsletter Service (collectively our or the “Service”). In order to provide the Service to users (“you’, ‘your’ or “User” or collectively “Users”), it is necessary for us to collect personal data (including but not limited to your name, email address, telephone number and business/ correspondence address) from you via our website.
It is the policy of LSCM to comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap.486 of the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We will ensure compliance by our staff with the highest standards of security and confidentiality. - Collection of data
Collection of any personal data will be subject to this Privacy Policy and any separate Personal Information Collection Statement ("PICS") provided on or before data collection. Personal data will be stored securely in our system. Only trained, authorized staff shall have access to the data, and we do not release personal data to third parties except as set out in this Privacy Policy and any separate PICS.
If you apply to become a member of the LSCM Membership Programme and/or subscriber of the LSCM e-Newsletter, you are required to supply all the personal data and other information requested in the relevant web page. Provision of personal data is voluntary, however, failure to do so may result in being unable to process your application. - Purposes and use of data
Data collected will be used for the following purposes:
(1) identifying you and verifying your identity;
(2) processing membership application and account creation for the LSCM Membership Programme and/or LSCM e-Newsletter Subscription;
(3) communicating with you in respect of your use of the Service;
(4) daily operation and administration of the Service;
(5) daily operation and administration of the Service, including but not limited to maintenance of membership and provision of the Service;
(6) monitoring and analysing usage of the Service to help the further development and improvement of the Service;

(9) identifying, contacting or bringing legal action against someone who may be violating the terms of use or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities;

Subject to any legal, statutory, regulatory or accounting requirements, we will retain your personal data for a period no longer than necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which the data is or is to be used. - Third Party websites
The LSCM website may from time to time contain links to other third-party websites that are independent from our website. We have no control over the contents of such third-party websites or their privacy policies, nor do we have any control over the personal data submitted by our Users, if any, to those websites. Users should be fully aware that the provisions of such links do not constitute an endorsement, approval, or any form of association by or with LSCM. - Transfer of user’s personal data
User’s personal data will not be disclosed or transferred to any other party in a form that would identify them except to those who provide administrative, management, computer, technology outsourcing, cloud services, data processing, telecommunications, accounting, auditing and other services to LSCM in connection with the operation of the LSCM website and provision of services to our Users. - Use of personal data for direct marketing
We may from time to time send out emails to members of the LSCM Membership Programme with prior consent to promote our events and the events of our partner organisations. If you do not wish to receive marketing information from us in the future, you may opt out by sending an email to [email protected].
We do not provide any of your contact information to these partners nor do we allow them access to this information. - Change to this Policy
We reserve the right to modify, alter, amend, or otherwise change this Policy at our sole discretion without prior notice. - Use of cookies
We use cookies across our websites in order to improve their performance and enhance User's online experience. Session cookies are used to enable User to move around the site and use essential functions on our websites, such as maintaining log-in details for the session such that the need to transfer information across the internet may be reduced. We will not collect any personal data from users when the cookies are being used. - Security
