Dutch delegation of innovative building material industry association SKG-IKOB visited the Centre on 28 October. The policy makers, directors of enterprises and board members of notified certification body in the Netherlands were introduced with the Centre's development and it's construction safety technologies.

On 14 Oct, the LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from a group of overseas guests who joined The Elevator World Tour, organized by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Startupfest.   The event was held for the first time in Asia, with Hong Kong being the chosen destination. The Tour aims to take place in the world’s most impressive elevators in the most innovative start-up cities to give entrepreneurs the chance to garner investment and develop relationships with the most influential investors, advisors and accelerators around the globe. 

The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang visited the Centre on 2 Sep to learn about the Centre’s latest progress. The visit started with a briefing by our CEO, Mr Simon Wong on the Centre’s major technology-focused areas, including infrastructure information technology systems, the Internet of Things and radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, location-based service technology, logistics and supply chain analytics and applications, supply chain security, and financial services and e-commerce technology. The Centre also presented its smart navigation for the visually impaired; robotics for the logistics industry, warehousing and construction; and elderly community information technology infrastructure.  

On 13 June, the LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Our Business Development Manager, Mr Stephen Wai, presented the Centre’s latest technologies and projects. Among all, the delegates were most interested in LBS technology.

On 17 May, the LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from Hong Kong Trade Development Council (VIP Tour for Belt and Road Summit 2016). Our Project Development Senior Manager, Mr Jack So, presented the Centre’s latest technologies and projects. Among all, the delegates were most interested in the indoor location tracking system.    

The LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from Hong Kong Electronics Industry Council of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries on 11 December. Led by Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of Board of Directors, LSCM R&D Centre, the delegation was given a demonstration on various research deliverables including RFID technology applications on Vehicle Alarm System, Safety Belt Engagement System for Construction, Gate-door for Elderly, Walking Cane for the Visually Impaired and Product Authentication System. Other technologies such as E-Lock, SMe-Plug and Robotics were also showcased to the visitors.
