Secretary for IT Visited LSCM’s E-Lock System at Asia Airfreight Terminal
Accompanied by the CEO of the LSCM R&D Centre, Mr Simon Wong, the Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang visited Asia Airfreight Terminal on 14 Dec for familiarization of the E-Lock operation which was developed by the LSCM R&D Centre to facilitate the Intermodal Transshipment Facilitation Scheme initiated by the Customs and Excise Department. Officers from the Customs and Excise Department introduced the Single E-Lock Scheme and explained the benefits of enhancing the clearance efficiency of intermodal transshipment cargo across the boundary and facilitating trade through the application of E-Lock.

Delegation visit from Kwong Wah Hospital
On 11 December, the LSCM R&D Centre received 25 representatives from Kwong Wah Hospital led by Dr. Eric Cheung, Hospital Chief Executive. The delegation group was introduced with Health and Community related technologies including Baby Tag and the Baby Tracking Management Control System, RFID Blind Cane Navigation System, RFID stock taking system, etc. At the same time, both sides have exchanged a lot of great ideas on future development in technologies.

Financial Secretary of HKSAR HON Paul CHAN Mo-po visited LSCM's booth at CITAC
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) recently announced the opening of the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre (CITAC). At the opening, the HON Paul CHAN Mo-po, Financial Secretary of HKSAR visited LSCM R&D Centre’s booth and learned more about the LSCM’s technologies including Autonomous Guided Vehicles for Warehouse Management and Safety Belt Alarm System for Construction Safety.
