Supported by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the LSCM R&D Centre has held the “E-cheque Security and Privacy Protection Technology Forum” on 19 December 2013 at the Auditorium of HKMA office. Representatives of banks in Hong Kong were invited to the forum and discussed the idea of the e-cheque project and how secure e-cheque can be. Five speakers including Mr Simon Wong, CEO of the LSCM R&D Centre, Mr Li Shu-Pui, Head of Financial Infrastructure Development Division from HKMA, Dr CD Shum, Associate Director from the LSCM R&D Centre, Prof KP Chow and Prof Lucas Hui from the University of Hong Kong, have given exciting speeches which induced great interests and further discussions from the audiences.
