Sustainability of an ageing society depends upon our effectiveness in creating technological environments, including assistive technology and inclusive design, for innovative, independent living and social participation of older adults in good health, comfort and safety.

It is the vision of the HK Government and HKCSS to dedicate our perpetual efforts in elderly service development and improvement for Age-Friendly Hong Kong. The Expo strives to show a Touching Heart with Technology and Innovation” – that is people engagement, user perspective, idea exchange on research and development, benefit to manpower building, spreading of innovations and technology for ageing and care. It achieves through building up a platform of multidisciplinary experts and leaders for social betterment.

The Expo aims to increase the awareness of general public and the Hong Kong society as a whole on how to integrate technology with elderly care for the development of innovative products and services, so that the quality of life of the older adults and their carers can be enhanced. It is the first one of its kind emphasis on “Gerontechnology” in Hong Kong. We are expecting a group of invited local and international innovators in this field to share their idea inception, in which are going to benefit a big group of local people and social service colleagues in Hong Kong.
