EMSD has organized an "EMSD Symposium 2022". The theme of the Symposium is "C0-innovinity", inspired by Carbon Net-Zero, Innovation and Infinity. The Symposium aims to provide a platform for around 450 local & overseas experts from government, institutions, consulting firms, universities, trade associations, environmental groups and other concerned parties to share experience & technology, create ideas, stimulate innovations and explore major developmental directions for future E&M engineering solutions and energy saving regulation for creating a smarter, safer and greener Hong Kong.

To generate, through the distillation of the views and ideas presented and discussed, a concerted blueprint for the development direction of E&M engineering solutions and energy-saving measures thereby promoting the development of a smart future embracing innovation and technology on all fronts to achieve carbon neutrality and to improve daily life in Hong Kong.
