Building Blocks of Robot-Infrastructure- Interactions for Vertical Logistics

Print

Overview

Multi-robot system for vertical logistics is a platform that different kinds of robots with diverse abilities work together to accomplish a given task in a cost-effective and scalable manner. It requires to support multi-floor navigation which robots navigate across different floor and arrive different levels by elevator, and to support multi-robot operation where robots receive task from control unit or other robots via network and users via its GUI. Most of the autonomous robots in the market are designed to deal with a task on its own account. To tackle the challenges of multi-robot system, some building blocks for robot related interactions in vertical logistics will be required. This project aims to develop an interactive platform with advanced technologies for performing tasks in collaborative and complex mode including a) Reliable communication mechanism, and b) Mechanical prototype design for button actuation This project has been defined by a present need of robot development. With several new technologies incorporated into vertical logistics, the overall productivity will be greatly increased.
