With the development of mobile communication, internet, and mobile positioning, location based-services have become an important new economic growing area. Internet-of-things will connect almost everything. One of the core technologies to support these new developments is Positioning Technology, especially for indoor application. In this project, technologies will be developed to enable GPS signals to be received indoor by mobile devices and smartphones for positioning and navigation. Expected accuracy will be about 2-5m. With the technologies developed, mobile devices and smartphones can be used indoor and outdoor for positioning, tracking and navigation. Seamless positioning to support Internet-of-things can be achieved.
