LSCM joined the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department’s annual flagship event - E&M I&T Day 2020 virtually on 31 Aug to 2 Sep.  With the showcased robotic technologies, including Follow-me Robot, Smart Service Robot and Deliverbot in the virtual exhibition, we engaged with the trade practitioners with our latest research deliverables.  

東華三院復康服務一向秉承「共融社區齊參與‧優質生活我自主」的服務理念，致力推動傷健共融，提升殘疾人士的自主性和生活質素。因此，東華三院聯同物流及供應鏈多元技術研發中心(LSCM)合辦「全港VR復康遊戲設計比賽」，旨在增強學生及公眾人士認識及關注殘疾人士及長者的需要，鼓勵他們善用自身的知識及創意，創作適合殘疾人士使用的VR復康訓練遊戲，推廣傷健共融。 比賽內容主要集中在兩大主題上： (1)復康訓練 (例如認知訓練、肢體肌能訓練、情緒舒緩、社區技能訓練等) (2)傷健共融 參加者將藉著這個機會充分發揮創意，設計出具復康訓練及趣味性的VR (Virtual Reality 虛擬實境)遊戲或意念。 目的: - 促進大眾對殘疾人士、長者的關注及有關軟件的發展。 - 透過虛擬實境復康遊戲提升及改善殘疾人士及長者的生活質素。 - 推廣傷健共融。 日程: 2020年6月3日 開始接受簡介會及比賽報名 2020年7月7日 比賽簡介會 (ZOOM) 2020年7月30日 截止報名參加比賽 2020年10月30日 截止遞交比賽作品 2020年11月至12月 評審 2021年1月 公佈結果 2021年2或3月 頒獎典禮   如欲報名參加比賽和簡介會，以及查詢更多關於比賽詳情，請瀏覽以下網站: https://vrehab.tungwahcsd.org/vrehabdesigncompetition/。

剛上任的創新及科技局局長薛永恒先生, JP，於5月7 日到訪LSCM與我們探討本地科研界現時所面對的挑戰，並了解我們最新研發、促進物流業界及電子商貿發展的技術，包括重型自動導航搬運車、智能服務機械人、eBRAM平台，及「居安抗疫」系統之電子手環等，此電子手環是配合香港特區政府推出的家居檢疫措施，以緩減新型冠狀病毒在港傳播的風險。LSCM將繼續與各部門及業界攜手合作，推動香港的創新科技發展及應用。

Construction Innovation Expo 2019 (CIExpo) is a signature event co-organised by the Development Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Centre of Science and Technology Industrial Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China and the Construction Industry Council. CIExpo 2019 aims to provide an excellent knowledge sharing and business matching platform with the vision to drive a new era in construction. LSCM showcased Follow me Robot, Safety Belt Alarm System and RFID-enabled Service - oriented BIM Platform.
