LSCM Webinar Series - Session 02 : IoT application in Smart Logistics
LSCM partners with CILTHK  to organise the Online Seminar Series with an aim to providing the audience with a holistic view of the latest development of innovative technologies in Hong Kong.    Smart logistics is one of the important components for Smart City development, and Internet of Things (IoT) is a major element in the development of Smart Logistics, Hence in this seminar, the speaker will discuss the implementations of IoT applications in smart logistics which include the applications in environment monitoring, traffic signal control, landslide detection, tree monitoring, etc. Through these application examples, the speaker will share his views on the design challenges, technical difficulties, and implementation concerns.   Members and friends are welcomed. LSCM Webinar Series - Session 01 : Smart Warehouse of the Future
LSCM was excited to collaborate with The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) to organise the Online Seminar Series 1:  Smart Warehouse of the Future on 24 May 2021.     In the webinar, Dr KL Fan, Director of Research & Technology Development and Chief Researcher of LSCM gave a presentation about the latest development of robotics technologies for future warehouses, such as AGVs, delivery robots, auto stackers, semi-auto robots, etc.   In addition, Dr. CH Cheng, Director of Research & Technology Development of LSCM shared his views about transportation model how to facilitate the supply of a critical product.

Delegation Visit from Train-the-Trainers series in the City I&T Grand Challenge
As part of the Train-the-Trainers series in the City I&T Grand Challenge, 16 participants visited our Science Park office on 30 April 2021. We have prepared a guided visit with showcase and demonstration for our guests. After the brief introduction of our Centre and the latest technologies, our robotics team colleagues prepared the demonstration to the guests, including Smart Service Robot, Follow-Me robot, Smart Lifter, Deliverbot, etc.

EMSTF 25th Anniversary - Technology Seminar : The Smart City of Hong Kong
To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of EMSTF,  EMSD organised Technology Seminar : The Smart City of Hong Kong on 16, 23 & 30 April 2021 in a virtual format.  In this seminar, Dr CH Cheng, Director of Research and Technology Development of LSCM, shared his view on the topic of “IoT Foundation for Smart City Development” and several cases of IoT implementations for government departments, design challenges and implementation difficulties of these applications.

Final Pitch cum Demonstration Day of Innovate For Future (IFF)
IFF2020 (Innovate For Future) Final Pitch cum demonstration day, HKETA's annual innovation and technology competition, was held successfully at Cyberport on 17 Apr 2021. The competition theme this year is “Technology Shaping a Better Life: Health, Intelligence, Communication”. Our Director, Dr Frank Tong, was one of the judges of this competition. There were 10 final teams presenting their final idea and demonstrated their prototypes on the stage. The final champion will have the opportunity to submit project ideas for the SJSU global program. Selected winners will also be nominated for Cyberport CCMF Fast Track.
