Representatives from CLP Power  visited LSCM on 12 February 2019.  Our CEO, Mr Simon Wong, expressed his warm welcome to the guests and introduced to them the Centre’s latest technologies and projects. Different technologies were showcased during the visit, which included the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System, Service Logging and Information Kiosk System, Smart-service Robot, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Activity Monitoring System, the Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, etc. The guests were also interested in the Centre’s Gerontechnologies. Some solutions which could help to promote energy efficiency and build an age-friendly smart city were introduced to them.

Professors from UC Berkeley visited LSCM Science Park office on 22 January 2019. Our CEO, Mr Simon Wong, expressed his warm welcome to the guests. We have showcased our technologies in Robotic and Automation, including Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV), Smart Service Robots, Real Virtuality for Aircraft Inspection Training System, Smart Elderly Lifter, etc.

LSCM took part in  the Smart @ Hong Kong - Our Smart City Journey Conference which was organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council on 10 January 2019. LSCM showcased the RFID-tagged Vest and Gate Door System, iBao and the Service Logging and Information Kiosk System at the event. Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, was invited to be the speaker at the Conference.

LSCM took part in the DesignInspire 2018 organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council on 6-8 December 2018. The Smart-service Robot was showcased at the thematic pavilion “Urbanovation” which focused on robotic applications, STEAM education and smart living. During the three-day event, many visitors came to LSCM booth to experience the various health monitoring functions of the robot.  

The Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) set up an ITC Pavillion at the SmartBiz Expo organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council from 5 to 7 December 2018. Sharing the Pavillion with the four other research and development centres, LSCM showcased its latest technologies which are applicable to the logistics industry. The technologies showcased at the expo were the “Follow-me” Robots & Platooning Technology, AI Vision of AGVs, Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV), Warehouse Smart Lifter and Product Authentication with Blockchain Technology. Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary, visited LSCM booth to obtain the information about the technologies. Favorable responses were received from industry practitioners during the three-day expo.

Organised by the Airport Authority Hong Kong, the Smart Airport – Technovation Conference & Exhibition 2018 was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28-29 November 2018. LSCM and its partners demonstrated SHIELD and Leading Environmentally Friendly Random Packaging Technology at the event. Visitors from the aviation and IT industry participated in the event to exchange ideas and knowledge of the latest technologies in the industries. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, was invited to discuss the future and challenges of Robotics and AGVs at the Conference.
