LSCM R&D Centre and ASTRI have developed a series of IT Infrastructures applicable in the elderly community. These includes estate-wide mesh WiFi network for free video conference between elderly, RFID-tagged key chains for the record and analysis on the use of community facilities, GPS device-tagged clothes for elderly to borrow for outing, and RFID readers in assisting elderly by reading out notices or activity posters in the community. All these technologies aim at improving elderly’ standard of living and relieving burden on public health care. (In Chinese only)
