GFSTF is initiated by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a platform to foster closer engagement and collaboration among the industry and academia in strengthening capacity building in food safety. In addition to learning and discussing how the food industry can better respond by strengthening food legislation and standards using scientific risk-based approaches, increasing capacity and technical competency, this event will also spotlight on:
•Discussing the most imminent food safety challenges from a global perspective through sharing by supranational and governmental bodies
•Technical challenges faced by the industry and how they would like the academia to assist in addressing these challenges
•Technological advances in the academia which may help address food safety challenges in local, regional and global scales•Exchanging ideas and sharing experience with seasoned experts and leaders from regulatory bodies, industry and academia
